Does anyone know how to prevent MSN Messenger from pooping up in my systray everytime i visit my hotmail account? I'm using the new 4.5 version, and it cant be removed from hte systray unless you leave the MSN web page. Kinda irritating.

any tips/tricks would be appreciated.

do you actually use MSN? cant you just uninstall it and get rid of it completely?

I havent used it myself.. but i would be surprised if there wasnt an optoin in there somewhere hidden away that turned off this feature.

this might help get rid of the problem. :p

okay.. sorry.. its late.. my brain no longer works. The computers in the lab's here have MSN installed on them... if i remember i'll take a look at it in the morning. Knowing microsoft, they probably hid away the solution real well.. but i'm sure there is a way to stop it from coming up in the systray all the time. I'll PM you tomorrow to let you know if i find anything.

XPAntiSpy3 is the ultimate tool to increase your privacy on systems running Windows XP®. It removes all hidden and hard-to-find "phone home"-features built into Windows XP® automatically with just a few mouse clicks.

It will completely REMOVE Microsoft Messenger!

It even find things that ad-aware couldn't find.

If your running WinXP this might help, If not I'm sorry for wasting bandwidth:p
