Hotmail increasing soon it seems...

I pay for the extra storage and I guess im reaching my 25mb limit and they sent me this:

Dear MSN Hotmail Member,
Your MSN® Hotmail® account is approaching the 2 GB storage limit. You need to take immediate action to avoid losing messages!

If your e-mail account reaches the 100 MB limit, you?ll be sent a second notification. You must then reduce the size of your e-mail account within 30 days. If you do not, some of your messages will be automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.


2GB storage limit! However it still says 25mb limit. And then if your account reaches 100 MB limit? Its all screwed up.

Yeah, they will, but it hasnt happened yet.

It seems like its happening soon too.

I have a yahoo and gmail account but I like hotmail best. And with this recent increase to 2GB for people who pay 20 bucks, I have no compliants with hotmail. Im sure yahoo and gmail are good too, though.

first of all, you pay for extra storage at hotmail??? wtf is wrong w/ you... spend $8/year and get a domain name and less then $60/year for a half decent hosting plan and get your own email account

2nd - people still use hotmail???

Hotmail works really, really and really good if you're one of the people who travels foreign countries.
It just works perfect. POP3 account e-mail is a POS once you're on the road in foreign countries.

don't get me wrong, Gmail rocks, but even without the 1 gig storage, it would still kill Hotmail.

I don't carry a laptop everwhere I go. It's easier to access Hotmail in many places and it's,too, eaiser to check mails through hotmail.

Hotmail said they'd send us a letter telling us more about the 250mb upgrade around mid-July, but I never got it. Hotmail sucks balls, and I have gmail account but I'm too lazy to switch my e-mails over.
