I had a bit of a scenario recently where my hotmail and yahoo accounts were hacked (I think?) by a female friend of mine.
Since then I have been changing the passwords fairly regularly.
However ? I changed the password last month and for whatever reason seem to have forgotten it! (I know what a bloody idiot!) I am still logged in on my laptop but cannot login here at the office.
Each time I try to reset the password nothing happens ? it just keeps asking me for my location information. Then when I eventually get to the option of answering the secret question it does not ask me? Due to my type of employment I'm always in different locations so I'm not even sure what information is current. (Let's put it this way ? I'm Scottish, typing this in Israel working for a US company and during the last 12 months I've resided in Florida, Scotland, Canada, Taiwan and Israel.)
What gives? I've only had the scenario of changing the password using the current "known" password before and seem to be going around in circles constantly.
I need to swap out the HD from my laptop next week as the drive is failing and will be reloading windows ? and obviously my hotmail account will be gone too!

Well after an hour of so of surfing I finally found a tool to get me out of the problem.
It is called:
Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery 1.70
Works a treat and now I can see my password - so if any of you end up in the same situation at least you can find your password on your own system 😀
