Hotmail deleted all my inbox mail !

I'm pretty sdure this is what I did..

I had the junk mail folder opened. (not the inbox folder)

I clicked on the select box to select all messages.

I accidentally clicked on the "junk" button instead of the "empty" button.


POOF ! all 100 messages or so in my inbox were deleted ! Not put in the trash either, just completely gone !

Happened to my father a few weeks ago.

My junk tab is greyed out while in the junk folder. I get the empty option or not junk on a single message basis.

Agreed. Ever since Hotmail went to 250MB inboxes, I get errors more than I get to my inbox. I was fine with 10MB when the damn thing worked.

Yep....Hotmail and Microsoft both suck. I miss the old days of hotmail before they sold out.

cuz between all my buddies/co-workers/ex-coworkers/etc/etc and all the businesses that have it on record, it'll be a pain to switch.

I expect I will switch (to either gmail or my own) someday... but it's pretty far down my list of things to do. Besides, it basically works fine.
