Hotfix released for Vista "Out of Memory Errors"

I wouldn't actually say it was released seeing as you have to submit a request to Microsoft Online Customer Services to obtain it.
 
I don't understand why you need to submit a request to obtain this patch. Why isn't this just another standard patch just like all the others?

My guess is that they are releasing it as a "beta" patch that has not yet been fully tested. Once it has been tested, it will probably be made available to the general public.
