Hotel Rwanda

While many of us have heard about it, I guess the magnitude of the genocide really is magnified through visual representations such as this movie. I almost cried during some scenes it was so saddening, especially because it happened. I felt a lot of anger and sorrow as I watched it, knowing that much of it could've been stopped. What were your feelings after watching the movie?

On the other hand, Don Cheadle is a great actor like always, but hopefully will be recognized even more for his acting.

Excellent movie. I would have liked to see Don Cheadle win the best actor award instead of Jamie Fox.

They were both awesome, but I think Foxx deserved it. It's 1000x harder to play a specific guy that was known and loved the world over than to play a guy that nobody ever heard of. I think Cheadle would've deserved it if not for Ray.

Watch it? I lived it.

Well, it was actually more of a Ramada Inn Hotel. And not so much a genocide...but a birthday party for someone I didn't really like very much.

Looks promising. I haven't seen it yet, though.
By the way, the poll is pointless. If you said something like "what do you think of the movie", that would've been better IMO.

but i wish it never had to be made.

Sad but true, watch as the original situation perpetuates itself again as the US ignores the movie, too....
