Hotel Help

Is it possible to check into a hotel with a debit card? Im only 20 but my CC doesnt have enough $$$ on it for the room (young and stupid with money)

My girlfriend is 21 but doesn't have a Debit or CC, but has a valid id.


So is it possible for us to get a room? Hopefully, we wont have to resort to a cheap ran down place that will accept us.

CC is for deposit. Just use yours then pay with cash when you check out.

So you have to have a CC? A bank debit card wont work?

I was going to book online if possible since i found acouple places online.

You can probably pay for the room with cash, and give them your CC # for incidentals.

I was once told that I couldn't stay in a hotel because I was under 21 once. I was paying with a credit card which was in my name and I was about 400 miles from home. I told them to kiss my ass, I paid for the room, reserved it, and I was staying there.

I stayed there after speaking to the manager.

I had the same issue once when I was under 18 and again far away from home. Again paying with CC in my name. I still was able to stay but had to argue.

It was very annoying being treated poorly because I was not a certain age. I was a hell of a lot more mature than many 21 year olds when I was 17.

Last time we stayed, the CC was never charged (maybe $10 for the reservation?) and we just paid with cash when we checked out.

just called and the hotel i wanna stay at has rooms, but age requirement of 21. So, hopefully we can get everything without any hassle or trouble. Its new years eve and i know so its probably a high risk for hotels with people under 21. Well, ill report back on how everything goes.

FWIW, it is 18 at motel 6 and they don't care if you pay by cash or cc

as long as the debit card has a VISA/MasterCard logo, it'll work just like a credit card.just make sure you have enough cash in the account to cover all expenses.

I used mine several month ago like that.

As many of us older men can tell you...that is not a guarantee. But odds are in his favor.

Sad thing is the girlfriend knows i brought ky warming gel.... so its guaranteed. =]
Unless i somehow get on her bad side early today.

nothing is guaranteed! I had a girlfriend once wear rip away pants at my bequest only to be shunned later in the evening!
