HotBrick 800/2 Connection Issues

Hey peeps, back again. A couple months ago I bought two hotbrick firewalls for very cheap, a 1200/2 and a 800/2, with the intention of flipping them on ebay. The 1200/2 has been sold a while back, but I was having issues trying to get the 800/2 working, so I put it on the shelf for later. The previous owner said it worked when he pulled them from the office and since I know the guy well I have reason to believe him.

Here's the issue. I cannot 'talk' to the router, at all. I have been following the manual exactly (find the manual HERE)

Trying to log in to the setup does nothing (192.168.1.1).

When I specify the IP settings it says the usual limited or no connectivity. On automatically detect it gives me a strange IP, but no gateway.

Occasionally it will try to connect, then say the network cable is unplugged, then try to connect again.

The network cable has been tested and works 100%.

Honestly I have no clue what's going on. I'm guessing that since this thing is not your average home-user firewall it is going to take some work to get it going. Thanks for you help!

I frickin hate the hotbricks.

On mine, the rebooting is due to a poor power supply. I found that the little board inside had dried out some caps and the output was down under 4V. I replaced the board with a wallwart 5V 2A power supply and it fixed the issue.

Get you a meter on the red/black wires going to the main board and see if its the same thing.
