This is a great deal for anyone looking for a budget after market HSF. Comparable to the $30+ CM 212s.

Zalman CPU Cooler - Compatible with Multiple Intel/AMD Sockets, 120mm Fan, Fluid Shield Bearing, 1700 RPM - CNPS10X OPTIMA

$29.99 - $20 MIR = $9.99 after MIR with free shipping!

I bought one several months ago from newegg at the same price ($30-20 MIR=$10), have it on my 3570k @ 4.1GHz with only the stock 120mm fan. I could not be happier with my purchase. It was easier to install than my Hyper 212 Evo but it's a little bit flimsy... Not sure if I screwed up the installation, but it stayed intact for the last few months. I also promptly received the $20 rebate from Zalman.

4 heatpipe coolers aren't usually found at the price, even after rebate. Hot indeed.

I bought one of these months ago for $10 and it's junk. They didn't machine them to tight enough tolerances, making it impossible to actually mount. I would rather pay $20+ for a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ which is at least machined properly and also has a less-complicated mounting mechanism that doesn't rely on double-sided tape and pads.

Yep the tape pads are pretty bad and it may not be tight enough... However, it fits and stays on there and most importantly, the cooling performance is comparable to the CM Hyper 212.

No, that's not my main complaint. My main complaint is that it doesn't work and costs too much to RMA relative to the price I paid, so now I have a useless cooler/fan. Maybe I got a bad copy or something, but you literally can't mount it because they didn't machine it to spec.

I'm curious as to what part wasn't machined properly.

Nice to get details from someone who actually bought this.

I didn't really have any major issues mounting it on my socket 1155 board, so I am not sure what you are talking about. If it was an issue from the start, then you should have filed a defective RMA in which case the seller should be responsible for covering the shipping cost.
