[HOT!] Xigmatek case fans - One FREE AR @Newegg

Lots of fans available that are free after rebate and free shipping. Might be a bit overpriced before rebate though, so look before you leap!

The 140mm fans seem to be an especially good deal (or, should I say really worth the risk of trying to get one for free!).

EDIT: The rebate only applies to one fan, so don't spend hundreds of dollars on fans looking to get dozens of rebates.

Nice find. You might also try code BTENHND22, which is good for 20% off on all case fans, but came as part of the recent "Thank You" email so YMMV.

Worked for me. So if you have one of those codes, you can get paid to buy these fans....

Awesome! Get it before Newegg pulls the plug! Unfortunately for me, you can only use those "Thank You" codes once, and I just ordered two more Blade Masters this morning for another push/pull, so I can't use it again to get paid to buy these fans. Also, read the fine print on the rebate form. It looks like you can only get one rebate per household, although you can arguably read it to be one rebate per item. I wouldn't take the chance though...

In for 2. The promo code did not work for me.

Hopefully the rebate works for two though; I bought separate models. The 120 mm fans in my SuperLanboy case completely stopped working.

i just grabbed two 200mm fans ($40 value) for future builds, and was able to cash in on the "20% off all case fans" promo code having bought something from newegg recently...so that knocks the price down to $32. subtract the $20 MIR, and these fans will have cost me only $12...nice

Be advised, the reviews on NE for these fans are terrible about Xigmatek not honoring MIRs. I've never really had a problem with MIRs, but it would suck to buy $100 worth of fans on the assumption they'll be free and not get the MIRs fulfilled.

yeah I bought one of these back on black friday, sent in my rebate... Have not heard a single word from them. Not even a confirmation they even got it.

I picked up this one. I've been looking for a 120mm 4-pin fan that I can put on my cpu heatsink and plug into the motherboard, so hopefully that will fit the bill. $10.39 - $12.99 should net $2.60 in my favor.

About the rebates, it sounds like unless you call or email them, then there's no chance that they'll process your rebate. Also, you can't call or email them until 12 weeks after you've submitted your rebate. I'm going to set up an Outlook reminder for 13 weeks after I send in the rebate to make sure I don't forget to send them an email asking about it. As with any rebate, be sure to make copies of everything including the envelope you mailed it in (in case they say you sent it to the wrong address).

If you live near a post office without long lines, it can also be helpful to go up to the window and ask the postmaster to hand cancel the stamp, then make a copy of the envelope so you have proof of mailing, with a date and the proper postage on it. For $12 that's a lot of trouble to go to, but as others have said, it would suck to spend $100 or more and then get screwed because you didn't spend an extra 15 minutes making sure you had solid evidence to present to the manufacturer.

well keep in mind that the rebate is only good for one item per buyer, so you really can't buy several fans and expect them to honor a rebate on each fan. nevertheless, thank you for the warning regarding Xigmatek rebates.

i've purchased Xigmatek case fans on more than one occasion, and each time i had no problem receiving my rebates from Xigmatek, and in a timely manner to boot.

hmm...i've never had to call/email/breathe down Xigmatek's neck to get my rebate processed and mailed out. and while i don't recall exactly how long it took them to process the rebate, it certainly did not take them 3 months to mail out.

...i'm not saying your worries aren't justified (especially considering the newegg reviews on Xigmatek products)...i'm just sharing my own experiences w/ Xigmatek.

Sunny,

Thanks for sharing. It's good to hear that at least one person has received a Xigmatek rebate with no hassle 🙂. I'll still set my Outlook reminder in case I have to follow up with them, but hopefully I won't have to. Either way, $10 for a decent 120mm 4-pin fan isn't a terrible price. If they pay me $2.60 to buy it, then all the better!

Word of warning - pulled RIGHT FROM THE REBATE FORM:

Offer limited to end-users only. Limited one item per offer, per person, household, family or address.

Bolded for clarity - if you ordered more than one, you're screwed. You will only get the rebate for ONE fan.

I had to read the form over about 3 times to find that line. I was fairly certain given the way the form is laid out and worded that the rebate was only good for a very limited number of fans on an order. It appears I was right.

Also, the way the rebate is worded, it seems as if you don't jump through ALL of their hoops (including the one item limit), they simply won't honor your rebate... period.

Updating OP to this effect.

An additional note: I spoke with a CSR at Xigmatek (Christine, extension 101) and confirmed that the rebate is valid at Newegg.ca as well as Newegg.com, for those that are interested.

Obviously YMMV since it's not explicitly listed, but if you're planning on making a purchase you can get in on this deal. If you're not already buying something, the $9.99 shipping rape Canadians have to pay kills the deal though.

FWIW I have received all 3 Xigmatek rebates I've done, but have had to contact them for all 3.

I am still waiting on my rebate sent in on 11/08/2011. I email Xigmatek on 12/20/2011 and promptly received a reply from Christina Fleck, Accounting Clerk/Office Manager stating:

"Yes, pestering me with email is the easiest way to check your status or you can call me. However, please follow up with me in 6-8 weeks for status on your November rebate submission. There is a 12 week processing time frame from the post mark deadline. Therefore, I do not have any information at this time. Please be sure to follow up with me again at a later date to ensure that you receive your rebate timely."

I need to do a follow up check to see what is the status of my rebate. It sounds like a you snooze, you loose setup. You gotta keep them honest.

UPDATE - follow up response from Christina:
"Unfortunately I am still processing November rebates. The response to this offer was huge and I am afraid I may be a little late paying them. Payments are due to go out the 2nd week of March. Please provide me with the billing address listed on your rebate submission so I may go ahead and get you set up in our data base. We are giving our consumers the option to receive their rebates via PayPal. Please provide your PayPal email address or indicate that you would prefer a check by mail and I will note this in your account. You will receive your rebate payment as soon as it is finished with processing. Thank you in advance for your understanding and for choosing Xigmatek."

It is simply not worth the trouble for these fans. I have three 140mm and one 120mm and they are no better than Yate Loon equivalents, possibly worse. If you must have the colored fans then there are much better fans to go with that don't have the high upfront cost and the possibility of being stuck with paying full MSRP.

Anyone have success with the rebate?
unless you're looking for past experiences, you're highly unlikely to find out anytime soon if this particular rebate deal worked or not...the promo just went up a few days ago, so i doubt anyone has their rebate material in the mail yet anyways. my fans haven't even been delivered yet.

I'm quoting your update in case people miss it. I missed it until some other people happened to post in this thread.

I think it shows that it's likely that you'll have to call or email, but that once you do, you're also likely to be taken care of well and get your rebate. I've had rebates in the past, where the rebate center lied and said I didn't send in my UPC code; however, once I said I'd gladly email them a copy of my rebate form with the UPC code taped on it, they magically found the UPC code 🙂. Anyways, I'd rather have to call/email and then be dealt with well than to be lied to like some other companies do.

Also, my fan shipped yesterday, but I don't have an ETA on it. My fan also sold out, so I'm glad I ordered one when I did. It was the only 4-pin 120mm fan.

I still haven't gotten the rebate on this. I've called and emailed a couple times and keep getting the same "we are processing Novemeber" response. I am fairly convinced that Xigmatek floated too much debt on these deals and will probably be filing for bankruptcy shortly. A common strategy for troubled businesses. The executive suite is probably already empty....took the money and ran!

Sorry to hear that. At least the fan was a decent price without the rebate.

Just checked Newegg, and Xigamtek is a featured vendor today on the home page, and they have lots of products for sale, so if they're going bankrupt, they're trying to make a splash as they go out:

Curiously, they have no rebates on any of their fan or heatsink products. Guess that idea was a bust.
