HWGA (here we go again). The real question; are they "in stock" and ready to ship?

Is there a difference between an x800xt and a x800xt platinum? Do I cancel my gateway order? Ahhh! Help! Immediately!

So it goes x800xt pe > x800xt > x800 pro? I thought it only came in x800xt and x800 pro flavors? So I'm mistaken, and the PE is definately faster than this? Ahh the tempation of 'in stock'!

The X800 XT non platinum edition is a rumor. Currently only the XTPE and the Pro exist. This card is an XT PE, I think, it has 520 mhz core.

Sigh. By the time I had the naming system down, and realized it was the same as the PE. Out of stock. Die naming inconsistencies.

That seems like a good price for an abit card. Maybe the the ATI cards will be cheaper than first thought.

I dunno what the big question is.... Gateway description of the card is this....

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ATI RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition - graphics adapter - ATI RADEON X800 XT - 256 MB
RAMDAC CLOCK SPEED 400 MHz

It is the Platnum Edition. As far as I know... ATI only sells two flavors of the x800 Pro or XT. I've heard of the SE but no one I know seems to have much data on it.

Seems to me there is a bit of paranoia going on. :)

Model
RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition 520Mhz 16 Pipelines 1120 Mem Speed
RADEON X800 PRO 475Mhz 12 PipeLines 900 Mem Speed
RADEON X800 SE ??? 8 Pipelines

Yeah I ordered one. Was lucky enough to order one while they were in stock. The order is still being processed. Hopefully they actually have them in stock or else I am gonna be really pissed :|.
