~HOT~ X1900XT $495 @ ewiz

How is this ewiz retailer's reputation? Will The Egg follow suite and beat or pm them? At this trend, it is insane, only in 2nd day of release and we've already started seeing prices dropping. I bet you ATI is out to get Nvidia this time around.

That and the fact the card can consume a maximum of 175 watts!!!!

I hope the price trends of the top cards come down a lot with the X1900XT coming in at <500 bones🙂🙂🙂 If this trend continues...sales of for the 7800GTX 256MBer should DRY up in a hurry unless they drop the price to <$400.

Thank you for that info, Jagercola. I managed to find a coupon and buy it. $448 shipped after taxes 🙂 Who wants to buy a 7800GTX?

Ya I broke down and got an ebayed coupon for it. $100 off MSRP launch week is pretty good, espically when only 50mhz seperates this from the fastest card out.

According to what I've read, the XTX and XT are actually identical in spec. That is it uses the same RAM but the XTX garantees a factory overclock. I suppose it means that manufactures can use better RAM if they want. So from what I understand, the XTX is design for people who are afraid to overclock themselves...

Sadly enough I know about such people. I mean people who would spend lots of money of top of the line parts but very afraid to overclock. The kinda of people who would buy enhustist(sp?) motherboard but never use any of the features. 😛

Very true and I would NEVER drop ~$500 on a video card, but if you want the best...you've got to pay top dollar. Relativley speaking, it's a HOT deal cause this card CREAMS a single 7800GTX 256MBer (which runs ~$450) and even beats 7800GTX in SLI in some benchmarks and at the highest settings (with AA and AF).
