Those Ultrax's are pretty nice. I think i'm getting old because i'm kind of behind the times when it comes to computer stuff lately

Looks like it's the Ultra X-Connect Power supplies at $76.99 and up. I'll pass, don't need a power supply and the reviews that I've seen so far have not been favorable biggest problem being the inconsistent rail voltage readings.

Really what reviews? All the reviews I read about the Ultra power supplies are great. They always recommned them. The only one I`ve heard that wasnt good was the one in the max. mag. They said it was a crappy psu but the model they received wasnt a final product it was for show only. I`d like to see those bad reviews you are talking about because I`m considering getting an ultra psu.

maximum pc is the most reliable and objective source for kick-ass reviews. Just read how extreme their power supply review was, only the best psu's passed it. A psu is judged on performance, not looks (although a cool looking psu is nice), and "ultra x-connect" is just some new vendor with no experience in this market, trying to get a foot hold mostly by relying on gimmicks. This doesn't mean it's neccessarily a bad psu, just that it's a gamble since it may not be as reliable as the proven brands.
