lol at this thread.

in the hosting business "1,000mb bandwidth" means that's your transfer limit/quota for the month.
this deal = not hot.

and as we all know
1000gb = 1 terabyte
Believe 1,024GB is the equivalent of 1 TB (obviously everyone did not know this fact).

Are you working for the company that you keep pushing their product?
I know a company that has reliable hosting, more bandwidth (slightly less storage space) for 1/6 their yearly cost. Ripplehost.com

Google adwords are free, just a PITA to register...

Most people considering this deal here know the ins and outs of website design and implementation, so the deal's appeal is somewhat lessened.

In the greater picture, this deal isn't hot- but don't let that discourage you from contributing to the forums.

Not worth it to me. Haven't been in business that long, so it seems.

Well. There is a section on the website that says they started in 1999. And my site is being created right now. They have a web designer who asks me how I want the site. And he is professional too. Google adwords isn't free. It costs money. Those are the advertisements when you search up queries. If you guys don't think this is a good deal, then fine. But if you just want to make stuff up to undermine what I am saying, then you are discouraging others who would like to have quality hosting. This forum was built on users like myself, who share deals with those who would like to shop smart. Not users like you who trash other's posts. Even though I am not a senior member, I am still trying to share with the anandtech community. I hope you respect my decision and make a better decision in the future.

If you want to go by what their website says, then that's fine. I'm going by what the whois search reported back to me.

If you guys don't think this is a good deal, then fine.

Umm... That's what we've been saying.

But if you just want to make stuff up to undermine what I am saying, then you are discouraging others who would like to have quality hosting.

Who's making stuff up?

This forum was built on users like myself, who share deals with those who would like to shop smart. Not users like you who trash other's posts.

Who's trashing your post. All we're saying is that we don't think it's a hot deal like you claim it is. Sheesh! Lighten up a bit. Why do you take things so personally. I mean, isn't that what these forums are for, to get peoples feedback as to whether or not a deal is hot? And if it isn't then I would expect people to speak up and let others know about it. And that's all we're doing. No trashing going on.

Even though I am not a senior member, I am still trying to share with the anandtech community. I hope you respect my decision and make a better decision in the future.

I don't think anyone here is saying your decision to sign up with them was stupid or that you're dumb. Like I said before, all we're saying is that we don't think this deal is hot. And as dc has mentioned, there are other hosts who've been around longer and they offer better packages/deals.

Err...

If your montly bandwidth allocation is only 1 gigabyte (amount of data you can trasfer to/from the server in 30 days), then how could you EVER get to a terabyte?

What exactly do you think that the terabyte transfer limit that you are talking about refers to? I'm confused about where you seem to be finding that, and what it is you think that means for your account.

i may be wrong about the terabyte of transfer limit, this is the information that I received when I contacted tech support and asked about transfer limit.

To answer your other questions, no i do not work for this company, i just find a lot of stuff personal because I already signed up with them.

In my opinion this deal is better than most because I am having a website designed for me, I am receiving a free domain and i'm getting a google adwords voucher. I don't know where your getting this whole "google adwords is free" BS. But I think that this is a great deal for somebody like me who needs a website done and has no prior website designing experience. The designer making the website is much more qualified than most people on this forum anyway. But if you still think that you could get a better deal, don't sign up with this company.
