Need some advice.
OC Duron 750@825 (7.5x110)

Temps in my room are approaching 90F (32-33C)! My temps are going thru the roof! Mobo @ 38C (normal 32-34C) and CPU @ 50C - 55C (normal <50C). These are not full load temps. Now I've had my case open and it seems to get me into the lower range. But then in the afternoon they started climbing again so I placed my room fan blowing directly thru the case (removed both sides). This seemed to help out quite a bit. My temps are MB 37C and CPU 49C. This is more like it but is there a solution to hot weather?

I want to run RC5 (losing cracking time!!!) but am afraid of overheating the comp. And plus, my room's getting a little too hot for my liking. Anyways, if you guys have had experience with this sort of thing I would raelly appreciate it. I do not want to go with water cooling. I do have peltier elements (40x40 and 25x25) but I've had bad experiences with them. Also afraid of any condenstation.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Looks like my plan worked. I have a couple ice packs placed at the bottom of my case. Case closed, my duron 750@825 is only 47C. Before my diff between CPU and MB was around 14-16C. Now it's only 11-12C. I guess cooling the air inside makes a big difference.

where did u get that AC unit? Is it a portable kind? All the ones I've seen in that price range need a window for exhaust.

Ok. Found some solutions. But I don't think I'm gonna get one right now. With higher electricity prices, I'm not sure how much this is going to cost me long term.

Portable AC unit 7200 BTU

I've got a temporary solution right now. I decided to place some ice packs into the case and see if that does anything. Anyone try this before? I have a towel wrapped around for condensation. I think this might work. Internal air will be cooler...

Well, you gotta get that room temp down. You can only do so much with fans, but high room temps just become hot recirculated air too.

Here is a concept; Underclock in the summer, overclock in the winter. ;)

Hmm, those Swampy.net things look pretty nifty; I assume that the little pipe is for hot air then? Geez, if the price is right on those, I might get one. Thanks for the link, frizzlefry. :)
