I picked one up for $200 after MIR from Newegg. Oh well.
My reactions: everything loads noticeably faster as compared to my 400 gig Seagate. A faster that you can feel. So if you want to upgrade something, and do it now, then I think this is worth the money. In my case, 300 gigs is more than enough for almost everything - I'm going to use my other drive for backups and to store home video that I'm not working with currently.
On the other hand, I realized that loading time for windows and apps doesn't matter to me that much ... it isn't like I'm in ecstasy in having an extra second here or there. And the occasional lag in video editing with Premiere is smaller, but still very noticeable. So if you need more space or want to spend less or want to wait for SSD to mature another year+ then that makes sense too.
