Price $69.98
+ Something over $75
use $25 off $75 coupon
use coupon (90817) expires today.. Hurry....
or find your own coupon...

I think this is a VERY HOT deal considering that I bought this last month from Staples for $129 - $30 pricematching amazon with staples. This is a very good phone for $50. Very clear and is packed with extras.
Good for Gifts n stuff, maybe for Valentine?

$20 Rebate from Manufacture(Got this from Mikek)
http://www.officemax.com/pdf/February/VTech_1.pdf

$70 - $25(coupon) - $20(rebate) = $25 (give or take + tax + $5 worth of stuff)

-Edited Part2
I revisited Staples.com today and saw a staple rebate mark for $30 on this phone, but I could not find the form on the site...

Possible $30 rebate?

$25 - $30 = -$5??? THIS IS SMOKING HOT IF IT'S TRUE!!!

I just got the single line version of this phone/answering maching from Circuit City B&M for $50 - $30 rebate = $20. Awesome deal on a good phone, if you can manage to find one.

Not a bad deal for this phone. There are other $25 off $75 coupons which are still good for after the 31'st.

There is a $20 rebate available from VTech on this model. I picked up the rebate form at Office Max in their Feb. flyer listing all coupons.
Final price: $29.95 +tax.
Maybe not as sweet as the Circuit City rebate but at least this one is current.:)

Picpop,

I have disagree with you on this one based on personal experience. I've owned several Vtech phones and have been very impressed. Sure Vtech makes some "bargain" phones, but they make some pretty good ones too. I picked up the 2960CI last month myself. It's great...it has 2 line capablility, speakerphone, digital answering machine for both lines, speed dial, caller id, etc. Is it the best phone ever? Doubt it. Will you find another phone with the same quality and features for $50? Probably pretty hard to do.

Great bang for the buck factor...nice deal.

CheapoMan,

The coupon was from the B&M flyer.

Also I was at first, gun shy about Vtech phones because of the "Mfg. in China" syndrome. However, after three years of outstanding service and (5) Vtech phone in the house, shop and office...I have no regrets. Good value in my opinion and range is better than the GE 900mhz phone they replaced. No problems of any kind.

I would however, stay with the digital over the analog 900mhz.

Any chance someone could scan the coupon from the OfficeMax
flyer for all of us? That is, if the rebate is a general
one from V-Tech and not a specific rebate for OM...

Just ordered the phone, which is a great deal at around $50
shipped. It's a killer deal if there's truly a $20 rebate
available, as well...

Hey Mikek:

Thanks a bunch! Wow. This is now a KILLER deal. Staples
should be sold out in no time...You can get THREE rebates
per household, too...

Rbu4Luv :
You should edit the title line of this thread...Phone is
$30 after rebate & (Staples) coupon. If you can beat that
with a stick, I'd like to see the stick.

Vtech phones may have been bad quality long ago, but the new stuff they are putting out is great. That's because the division of Lucent that made cordless phones was spun off and sold to Vtech. So alot of the new stuff coming from Vtech may have actually started as Lucent designs. Only reason I know is almost my entire family works for what was Bell Labs-then AT&T-then Lucent Technologies- now Avaya Communications.

Hey CyBrShRk:

Thanks for that info. I WAS wondering how it was that Vtech had
managed to change from a El Toileto producer of schlock phones
to something a lot better. I knew they'd done, just wondered
how that transformation had occurred. Now I know...
