Hi, i found this deal, but the website does not explain whether it's brand new or refurbished. It also does not give any specific specification on this card. The part number is 72742, which I believe has both DVI and Tv-out. The picture shows no heatsink on teh memories, which i believe it does or should have. Can someone tell me if this is a good deal? I will e-mail the vendor and give more info as soon as I receive it.

;)

how about a link to the store buddy, makes it a lot easier to decipher the gibberish you wrote.

looks good to me. i don't think that a heatsink of the memory modules is required, but probably recommended. i found a gf2 ultra at newegg for $217:

the gf2 ultras were making the gf3s look bad. i think you don't want to buy any video card for at least a week--when the radeons 7500 and 8500 and the geforce titanium hit the market in full force, everything else will really drop.

What about the ATI Radeon8500 for around $200? Only a bit more for GF3 speed, maybe.

I'd either spring for a GF3ti200 if I was really strapped for cash, or a R8500. The R8500's are a bit faster than the GF3ti500, but image quality is better, IMO. I have a Radeon 64 VIVO, and the image quality is better than my GF2.
