Shipping is 6 bucks. Software pci modem but one of the better ones.

It seems to be an ISA modem. The link for the modem says "VIK56KISA", so it must be ISA. and the systems requirements state that an ISA slot is required.

UPS shipping to me is $5.02 for Ground, and $5.70 for FedEx 2 day. If I add 1 power strip, the shipping charge stays the same. Adding 2 power strips makes the Ground shipping $5.47 for me. Not too bad to have the extra one ship for $.45.

Be warned, it looks like Viking is not making any more desktop modems because they do not have any products listed. Only CF and PC Card modems. http://www.vikingcomponents.com/products/index.cfm
