Ambivalent about it being oos. I just bought a relatively cheap, but highly rated IEM (Head Direct RE0) and I already have the Etymotic ER4P. You can never have enough IEM's...

As far as I can tell, the ear buds for the 10 and 10vi are the same, they just come with different cables. I have read that the cables have the same sound quality.

If you are still concerned you can buy replacement cable for ~$20 and get ones without the mic.

Or if you are like me and were only able to get the 10's but want the mic you can buy a replacement mic cable.

lol not a chance in hell. These have 3 pairs of balanced armature drivers that are each fine tuned for their specific range of frequencies - as opposed to one cheap dynamic driver covering the whole range.
