Hot! Toshiba e740 PDA $260 Now till Mar. 31

Amazon had it last week for $499 - $100 Toshiba MIR - $50 Amazon MIR = $349. If you use AMEX BVG, you could get it down to $209 with no tax and free shipping. It is now NIS though.

wouldnt you know it, I just bought my Toshiba e335 in Februuary for around $250 after rebates and coupons 🙁

cool.. I bought the amazon one and plan to bvg later this month.. the price will only go down.. I tracked the price of buydig. it went down from 408 to 389 in a few days.. and after the 100 mir from toshiba expires (3/31), it should go even lower...

I got one of these (refurb) a month back for about $180 at MPSuperstore after MSN Dollars. It's an amazing PDA. A few little quirks here and there, but in all, a smart buy for under $300!!!

ohhhh. be careful.. this site seems to sell refurbished even it is not mentioned anywhere. the warranty is 90 days on applications and os. but it never mentioned the warranty on the pda.

You'd better call them to confirm before you jump on...

Costco sells a e740nw. It doesn't have Wi-Fi and I don't believe it qualifies for the rebate.

many bad reviews on this unit... watch out!!! I was going to get it, but after those reviews, I decided it's not worth it.

If you want guarantee not refurb, buy from Amazon.com for $305 AR plus free shipping ($454.xx-$100Toshiba Rebate-$50Amazon.com Rebate).

For those with Amex BVG, pricematch to AmazingSaving (in original link) to bring down price to 360-$150 rebates=$210.

All rebates end today.

I still haven't seen the price drop much. Amazon is at $429 with a $50 rebate for $379 AR.

Are those of you who bought happy with the unit?

I experienced the 1% problem... battery meter drops to 1% in a few minutes after full recharge and keeps annoying me with battery running out message. But for the money I paid, I won't complain...

Just a quick note, Overstock.com has these as well:

http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=418179

Yes it is a refurb, however - with the 10% off coupon floating around and the 2 year extended warranty they have available on the site (yes, this is usually a bad idea, but since it is refurb, $30 is well worth it) you can get this unit for under $310 shipped.

That said...I used one at Best Buy and thought it was great. The build-in WiFi kicks ass and it has CF and SD expansion on top of that. The Axim has CF and SD but no build-in wireless, so you lose your CF if you want wireless.

The e755 if the real nice unit, but at over $500 I think I am going to wait for the price to drop.

I saw the 740 for $299 at www.cdw.com yesterday -- brand new and not refurb.

I tried one out from CC and it was OK (they still had it at $499). Screen is not the best I've seen plus there are apparently issues with the battery release mechanism and the sound recorder switch being placed in such a way that they are triggered frequently. But built in WiFi is nice, esp. for $299.

The WiFi will drain your batteries whether you have a CF Wifi or built-in, just the nature of the beast.

Everyone is clearing out their older inventories in anticipation of PPC2003 coming out next month.

I was tempted to buy an Dell X5 for around $160, but am going to hold on and see what the new HP and Dell models will be offering.
