There is another thread on this, but it isn't being updated by the original poster. The price is down to $40 with 1yr free service with Skytel. There is a coupon out there that gets this down to $32 w/free shipping.

After dropping the price on these the other day, they have gone in and out of stock. Just signup for their e-mail notification if they are out of stock. They will e-mail you once it is back in stock. Over the past few days, I have noticed that it is back in stock the same day or the next day after going OOS.

For $32 this is a steal!!!

These are going in and out of stock. It appears that they are now not even listing the watches on their site. I won't call it dead for a few days since they have been going in and out of stock. Call them to find out the status if you are interested....

Link to more Timex internet watches -- not sure if they include 1yr free service though -- call to find out

Item is back in stock, but now costs $70 - forget that - good deal, but $70??/ I don't think so....

edit: 11/23/02

Price is $56 after you use 10% off coupon that can be found...duh, I forgot that in my last edit....

back in stock, good luck - $32.50 -

I ordered this watch today. Got it for 32$ with my Amex. With the 800 number for free, its a dirt cheap buy. 🙂 There is another longer thread with feedback from people who have already purchased it.

thanks! ordered 2, hope to give em away for Xmas. Do you have to activate the free 1yr service by certain date?

picked up one for my 16 yr old brother (birthday present). He ain't allowed to have pagers at high school...but if he just sets it to "silent" vibrate mode then who will know. $32 is a steal. I think I figured out why my Del All doesn't work 90% of the time. Probably has to do with invalid characters in some of the email messages I'm guessing. I thought $56 was a pretty good deal.

I have it page for work email and two yahoo email accounts.

I am pretty sure its Dec. 31st, 2002. Make sure you make note of that is these are a gift! Or just activate them before hand.

Thanks, I think I'll wait until the last week of December to activate mine.

$#@! website won't load here at work.

What's the best color that doesn't look ghey in person?

D

AFAIK you can do both, paging via phone requires dialing a toll free SkyTel pager number then you enter in a PIN then you enter your return phone number.

Great deal on this watch. I bought one several months ago and have about worn the thing out. I bought 3 more...a new one for me and 2 more as Xmas presents! At $32.00 you can't go wrong even if you DON"T activate the paging service because this watch ALWAYS has the right time. Yes it is a battery hog, replace battery every 2 months but they send you 5 batteries with this deal so your good to go for almost a year.😀

Has anyone used the AMEX BVG to get the $32 price after buying it for more?
I'm curious because the BVG policy page states that it cannot be used for pagers. Will they use this to deny a price match?
I'm waiting for the silver model to get back in stock to document price and availability.

I have been satisfied with the watch. It performs about as expected. Have used for one month now and no low battery alert yet. It does quite often drop characters when it is paged(almost 1/2 the time).

Does anyone know how big these watches are compared to the older classic models? I still have one of those around and hated how big it was.

I ordered one of these but don't have it yet. Is it true the watch will autoset time even if paging is not subscribed? Great if true, but something I've been wondering about since I doubt I'll extend the service.

Yes, its active whenever you are in an area w/ coverage AFAIK. The question I have is how it knows which time zone you are in if you are very close to a border (not country, time zone).

just checked the website, the silver is not in stock, the grey is completely gone (item webpage does not pull, error message of item not available), the blue is in stock
