If you are a student, i believe you could get the laptop for a lower, educational price at your school's computer store.

The X31 for $1000 was a great deal, unfortunately they either sold out of them or discontinued the offer.

I forgot to mention that orders for these laptops get free shipping, but have to pay tax in most states (OR is an exception, maybe one more ??).

They also have the T40 w/ SXGA+ (1400x1050), 1.4Ghz, 256mb RAM for $1664.10 (see 2379D6U), with normal IBM web price of $1849. Not as big of savings, but still a pretty good deal for an SXGA+ laptop...

Don't know if this is a sweet deal, but you need an SXGA+ display at nearly $2K. :)

I forgot to mention that the EPP site is for employees, family and friends which means that anyone can purchase from the site and warranty will still apply.

i have and radeon 7000... it runs war3 just fine without any OCing.. (30+ fps) however with oc.. oh yea baby! (60+ fps)

the T41 is one hot notebook, its really nice, pretty compact for what it's got packaged into it, only an inch thick, and it's batt life is awesome.. very nice deal for the T41

Cool! My friend just bought an iBook with Radeon 9000 and he said that War3 was kinda laggy so I wasn't sure how the performance would be on a PC laptop. Well, since the 7500 is good enough for War3, the 9000 should be even nicer. Well, I just want a nice thin laptop and something like Doom3 isn't what I expect to play on it anyway. Being able to play some RTS games is a nice bonus.
