Hot-swap Drive Bay - Cabling Question

Hi, all

I'm thinking of getting two Silverstone FP57 hot-swap drive bay adaptors, and noticed an unfavorable review on the egg.

"The power cables are not protected from the sharp edges of the steel enclosure. Eventually they rub until the shielding fails and they short out and wreck your system."

This sounds serious. I wonder if there're any users of the FP57 or any similar adaptor who would care to comment on the issue.

Thanks in advance.

had to say without knowing more. Personally, it would have to be a rather sharp edge and the cables will need to be moving around a lot to actually rub through (and be pushed against the edge and not just sitting on it).

Though if it is an issue (ie: you can feel a bur) then a few seconds with a suitable file will take care of any sharp edges.
