I saw the ad in the Los Angeles Times, im guessing its only avaialable in those two stores since its a GRAND OPENING special... I dunno why Staples would do that since Officemax, Depot, and all of them are losing $$$ already

Thre is an Ad in the FRONT PAGE section of the Los Angeles time. I think that the drive is worth it for the 200pk CDRs and the HDs....

on the ad, there are also two coupons for 1,000 free business cards, and 500 free copies.

Do you know what model the Maxtor Drive is? Just wondering if ATA100.

I would think that it is... considering all HDs are sold at UATA 100 retail nowadays... Uhmm, but the SKU is 393967, which is not on their website.. but here's my rationale for believing its UATA100

1) on the website, the 30gb 7200/100 is listed at 129.98, while this drive is listed as REGular Price of 129.99.
2) even thought the picture on the ad shows a older Maxtor box, the description says 7200rpm, 33% faster than 5400rpm drives
3) i dont think they mske 7200/u66's... or maybe they do... but im almost 98% certain they are 100

The Staples opening in central cali is in San Luis Obispo. I just checked the local paper and the same deals are vaild here also. So if there is any new Staples you know were being built anywhere they probably have these deals.

THe Executive chair is highback in the ad picture I have but you can try to see if it is on the website. SKU# 446632

Theres no address, but the picture shows the Staples is across from a Home Depot,. on Crescent and Brookherst... near the 5 Freeway

The Huntington Beach one is on Yorktown Ave. and Main St, near the Albertson's and Orchard Supply

Would it be possible to get other Staples stores to price match these prices? A proof in form of the newspaper advertisement with the above prices should be enough, right? Is there something in the Staples price matching policy that prohibits this kind of price matching? If this type of price match is possible can someone scan the Staples advertisement so others might take advantage of these deals as well?

FYI: I have also seen the same ad for my local Staples, set to open this Saturday. It is also in So. Cal.. It is located at Soledad Canyon and Whites Canyon in Canyon Country (magic mountain area) in Northern L.A..
