Here is a hot one!!

I just picked up a Sony TRV120 Digital 8 Camera from Sears B&M for $497 + Tax. Most places have this camera for the MSRP of $799.

Here is what you do..

1) Go to WorldDirect's Website & print out this page.

2) Take the page into Sears ask them to do a price match & give them the printed out page.

As simple as that. Apperently Sears is now doing e-commerce price matching, so this hot deal could extend into alot of other areas.

Good Luck!

Not to crap over your deal but ... you could do even better by simply doing a price scan at Pricescan.com and going with the second vendor listed - Digital Dog, for $498 (free shipping). No pricematching, no taxes :)

Of course, you missed some super hot deals a couple of months ago when MSN had their 20% off deal going - I got a DCR-TRV520 for $610 shipped :D

Digital Dog is not a hot deal, if you don't buy their kits it'll will be "backordered" forever.

Instant gratification my friend. Walk in with printed price qoute & money, walk out with camcorder. I got out the door with this camera for $530, I don't consider that too bad.

Too each their own,

These are good camcorders. I just got one-- for those of you not familiar with it, it will also take analog input (e.g., from VCR for example, or other camcorder) and digitize it and ship it to your computer via firewire. SO you don't need a video capture card to digitze old home movies. It also plays and digitizes old video 8 and Hi8 tapes too. And with nightvision you can spy on your neighbors!

You'll see that MINIDV cassette is more of a standard.. There's only two people using Digi8.. And that's Sony and Hitachi.. The rest (JVC, Panasonic, Sony, Canon and etc) makes MINIDV cams. There are multiple type sof minidv's, from lowend, to some pro-equipment. The DIGI 8's are only in the low end of the market..

The Digi8's are a bit cheaper than the MINIDV cams... But i'm quite sure minidv will be around longer than Digi8.

Aside from that they store both in the DV format..

codehack2: You must've been pretty lucky. I could never get Sears to price match an online competitor.

These are great cameras. I got the 520 during the JC Penny fiasco for 50% off. Total 557.00 after discounts.

The picture is great.
