Remember Napster? This is much cooler!
Go to www.musiccity.com and download client (Morpheus) or
www.kazaa.com (Download KaZaA Media Desktop ).
Clients are little bit different but network is the same.
There are more then 500'000 users connected any time and they share more than 450'000 Gb.
(anything, not only music)

This may be a good discussion for one of our Software forum, but it is not a Hot Deal.

This is pretty well known...too bad college campuses have started to block ports for such software.

Many people do not know about Morpheus, but those people do not visit these forums either.

They're pretty much the same. I used to use them, but have found a greater place. It's called Direct Connect, it is probably the biggest file sharing program... over 500 terabytes being shared.

Check it out here: http://neo-modus.com/

i think Kazaa is still restricting their users downloads because of a Dutch court ruling... so you may want to use Morpheus... and yeah, its not last week... its last year :D

DC sucks, IMHO... you can't easily resume transfers, plus you have to choose a hub and those behind NAT won't be able to search across servers, and I never find anyone that is fast and stays on for me... the greatest file sharing program of all time though (best for large files)??

I've been using Kazaa for almost exactly a year...and so far I've been really pleased, ease of use + good availablity of crap. Reminds me a lot of the good ol' ScourExchanger days.

If you d/led Kazaa, you'll need this : ad-aware. It has a bunch of spyware programs in it, if you've noticed pop-up ads on pages you know don't have popups, that's a good sign. D/l and run that program and it'll find all the spyware on your computer.

Sorry for blank message...
I've been using Morpheus for quite some time now...
but... for some strange reason... in the last 2-3 days it's not working... when I connect, it says "18 users connected, sharing 4K files".... it used to be on the order of Terrabytes.... and of course, none of the searches return any results. have anyone else had problems with Morpheus in the last few days? Can you guys try and let me know?

Thanks,
D

Don't get Kazaa, get Morpheus. There's no spyware with Morpheus.
