This is Black Friday level pricing. $195AR for Sapphire's overclocked 1050MHz model, with a free copy of Far Cry 3 and Hitman: Absolution.

And this also happens to be the shortest HD7870 available - at 8.86". Most HD7870s are between 9.5" and 11.5" long.

Possibly the only thing this card doesn't have going for it is the color scheme...

Well, it's about the same or lower price than most HD7850 2GB models, so I think it's a pretty good choice.

thats a gtx560. the 7870 is at least twice as fast and comes with two new games. based on your post, it makes me question what your current setup is.

For the 660 at $180 and the 7870 at $195, it's about even for price/performance. The 7870 is about 5-10% faster. That being said, this Sapphire is questionable, it's also the one which had black screen issues a while ago, but they claim that it's been fixed.

You might want to take that question to the CPU or General Hardware forums, but the go-to gaming CPU right now is the 3570K, paired with a z77 board, like the Asrock z77 series (Pro3, Extreme3, Pro4, Extreme4).

I can tell you right now that the 20% off coupon won't work. I bought a 7970 with 3 games and the medal of honor coupon. When I went to look at purchasing the medal of honor, they had already discounted it to $35.99 and the coupon doesn't work.

so tempted ... i'm running a HD 5850 right now so this would be a significant upgrade.

it's also an inch or so shorter which is good because the 5850 barely fits in my full tower case.

The game key will expire october 2013. meaning it will be unplayable. I had to contact AMD support to verify cause i was a bit confused. They definetly worded it oddly but thats the jist of it. You can play for 1 year enjoy :'(

guess i worded it odd as well. The game corresponding with the promo serial number will be unplayable come october 2013. It has nothing to do when the key will be validly accepted to play.
