I noticed the ebay links too, but they were for Buy and Adorama, not just random dorks selling crap. Legit places with a different online outlet. We've been cool in the past talking about Dell, Harmon Kardon, and other vendors selling that way.

Anyhow, not complaining, rules are rules and we follow them to be able to stay here.

My apologies for eBay linking, I haven't reread the forum rules since being active again. I understand the reasoning behind it.

When reliable re-sellers do use eBay it seems to be fire sales and very limited inventory it would seem.

To the person that would return your 840 Pro and get two of these in RAID, don't!

It's a TLC drive and only holds up with light use!
If you move lots of data around it will die on you.

It's a good deal but be warned it's not anywhere as durable as the 830 or 840 pro drive.

p.s. they have a special over at the 'egg for the same price, today only.

Not true at all.

Its not as durable as an 830 but its still durable and will hold up just fine with an OS installed on it. Read Anands review and over at XS it wrote over 400TiB before starting to fail. Thats 5-7 years of pretty heavy use if you ask me.

400TB is nothing!
We can do that in a few months that's why we stripe over dozens to save the flash. M4's and 830's going strong after many PB of writes.

If someone is using it in a laptop checking facebook and stupid crap I guess it's fine for that.

At least it's not OCZ. ;)

Yeah, but I am curious to see how the Vector is endurance wise. Anyways, I wanted more capacity so I ordered a 250gb 840. I will use the crap out of it and dare it to die. It has a 3 year warranty so I know I am good for at least 3 years. :)
