AS much as I love my Dell U2410, had this deal been available I'd have jumped on it. The 22" version is just a sick bargain.

That said, I would still go for the 24" HP as it is 19x12 rather than 19x10. I'll take the extra pixels every time! These are S-IPS panels and significantly better than the e-IPS panels for example in the downgraded new Dell U2412m.

If you are any kind of visual artist a good monitor is #1 priority, this might be the lower end of the pro level, but it blows away any consumer panel (non IPS).

Since so many are gamer focus on these boards, if gaming is the priority then you still might want to stick with a 120Hz TN panel for the speed. I'm not that familiar with these, but for FPS and racing games and such those might be better in terms of slight ghosting and blurr. I admit that I never had a problem or really noticed such things when I was young and game-y...

cheers!

If you are a gambler or just like pushing your luck...

Consider that this might be the tip of the ole burg... If HP really is getting out of the hardware biz then their may be upcoming firesales whole cloth... that doesn't make this any less of a deal... but hell you might end up with a $49 24" S-IPS panel in fine touchpad-esque fashion.

This was probably part of a HP price mistake at OnSale/PCMall/Macmall that was quickly corrected. For a short time, they even had the HP lp2475w at $83 shipped.
