Unless the quality on these has gone up dramatically I'd stay the hell away from these. I bought one shortly after they came out after reading all the good reviews. Had it hard lock up on me 3 times the first day I had it, every time it did so it had to be completely reset which wipes out all the data. I sent it back the next day.

The 1.5 GB is a micro HD. The find that is used in cameras. 20GB players use laptop harddrive. Thus the price difference.

these usually crap out on people within 6 months, read all the reviews at CNET, almost everyone's player broke.

Mine is still alive and kicking. Either better luck, or I treat it like a walkman - no running, no sporting, only walking. I am surprise Cornice is still in business, bad rep should have killed the company.

My Nitrus broke on me :(

I figured out it was most likely the battery and to replace it would have been prohibitively expensive. It's not fun. I would honestly suggest looking elsewhere. I really loved the player while it worked though - so small and so easy to use. I might suggest the Creative MuVo2 over it though, 'cause windows will recognize it innately as a USB storage device where the Nitrus requires Rio drivers.

My Karma is still ticking, but i've seen some quality control problems with many Rio products.
