Hot! Price drop on projectors at Dell SB

I did a search for this, but didn't see anything.

I just saw this on Dell SB. Instant savings on the 3 main projectors!

$150 off 2200MP = $749 +tax
$300 off 3300MP = $1399 +tax
$400 off 4100MP = $1699 +tax

I have not yet confirmed if you could use the 25% off coupon at Dell SB that just went out. Can anyone else confirm or deny this? I think I saw that the coupon expires 7/28 or 7/30. If so, this would be really hot in my mind. If this was the case then they would be:

$150 off + 25% off 2200MP = $561.75
$300 off + 25% off 3300MP = $1049.25
$400 off + 25% off 4100MP = $1274.25

Please let me know if anyone works this deal (or a better one) from Dell. I'm close to buying a 3300MP myself.

Great deal for those looking to replace their crappy tv with a projector. This is the cheapest I've seen lately. I'll call about the 25% and see what they say. Did you try stacking it in your cart?

PS: I know that not all Tv's are crappy, but I REALLY love my projector.

No luck on stacking here. Good thing, don't have an extra $1k lying around and my X1 is working just fine.

I talked to one CSR and he wouldn't stack the offers. So I guess, as it stands, the best option would be to use the 25% off coupon if you have one. It would be a little extra savings anyway. I hope someone gets these offers stacked. That would be so sweet.

Good thing I got my 2200MP for $800 a few months ago. My grip about the 2200 is that my bulb blew in month although they air shipped me a new one the following day.

Do you use your projector in dark conditions/basement or can you do it anytime of the day, in well-lit rooms?
I have a huge wall in my living room that is perfect for projection but am concerned about the Lumen power I would need for day-time viewing.

I have an X1, and it really needs to be used in a dark, or near dark, room. Just closing the blinds (even room-darkening shades) during the day isn't going to cut it.

But this inconvenience pays off with by far the best movie viewing experience anywhere near the price.

Same with MP2200. Got to wait for dark, although I just bought some heavy curtains. To get enough lumens you will have to pay so much more your are probably better off thinking about a flat panel.
