I have been waiting for this product do to the fact V. 10 hates WinXP, when I ordered mine, the confirmation said it would ship on or about 11/21/01. This is my first hot deal, be kind

Hmm... doesn't Win XP have some sort of built in remote control? Why not just use that?

Communicating with NT and other platforms are difficult when you only have the XP version installed. PC Anywhere rocks.

They let you order it, eventhough it is out of stock, ship date expected to be 11/21/01. New product, not in stock pretty much anywhere.

Version 10.0 is compatible with WinXP to an extent, it works fine except for disabling the fast user switching. Running it on my XP workstations now. I assume that 10.5 fixes this issue and for $27 smackers a hot deal over standard retail price.

Why buy another app when you can use NetMeeting for remote control? Works perfect and it is free. And yes there is a NetMeeting in XP. If you haven't found it, click start>run>"conf" and the wizard will magically appear.

Even when using symmetric or public-key encryption?

Depends on your firewall settings Even with a PW, I cannot get on the domain that I am admin without coming from my home IP address.

I'd have to disagree. If set up correctly it's very restricted. It definitely beats XP's built-in remote toys.

I love this product - the one thing that bugs me is that when the programmers fart they change the version number and charge $50 to upgrade.

This price is lower than the upgrade price!

It's gotta be a mistake!! I ordered!!

Why buy this instead of anything else including free products? Because a lot of people on the other side use this product...like work...friends, etc...
