Haven't posted since last year, but I thought this deal is worthy of one--

K-Mart has the Panasonic TC-20LA2 20" LCD TV for $399.99. It is a temporary unadvertised price valid for June 11 and 12 only, apparently only in B&M stores.

Link (with non-sale price)

Unfortunately, it's EDTV and 4:3 aspect, but cheap!

Other LCD TVs on sale this weekend:
Panasonic 14" for $200
Sylvania and Magnavox 15" for $300

I don't know what made me go into K-Mart, but I'm glad I did :)

Glad you put B&M only in your subtitle, but adding Kmart might make it even better, especially for those of us that no longer have one in our vicinity. :)

this is probably going to be really stupid but i have 2 questions

1. why is it being EDTV unfortunate?

2. can this be used as a monitor?

Thanks :)

The TV is 640x480 so you can have 480i and 480p. Great for DVDs but not so good for HDTV or as a monitor. It's still a great price for a 20" LCD-TV.

If you have one of the ATI's (or some Nvidia cards) that can have component out, it will work as a monitor at 640x480 (480p). At that resolution it's not that useful, especially at only 20". There doesn't seem to be any VGA or DVI input. At 640x480, I wouldn't expect it to.

This is basically to be used TV with the added bonus of displaying DVDs in progressive. Good also for playing console games at 480p if the games support it.
