In todays ad, 512MB pc133 ram for 42.95, seems like a good deal considering that the cheapest price on pricewatch for this is 38 and thats w/ the $10 shipping

dont know if its regional, but seems to be in affect in the Los Angeles area.

im wary of fry's memory ever since the only time i bought something from them, a 256meg chip for $20
it sucked and locked one machine up if it was in
and then the other it seemed ok, until it start causing memory dumps

Well, you gotta find out if it's high density or not and if it is you will probably need a via chipset mobo to use it. If it isn't and your mobo supports that size than it is probably a good deal. It ain't Crucial but it should work. Also, see if it is 7.5ns or less. I bought one elsewhere that was 8ns and it works at pc133 but it is not desirable.

I bought a 256 at Frys a couple months ago. My computer went haywire after it was installed. I than tried to load up Windows XP on the same computer. It wouldn't load until I took out the Fry's memory.
