How can this be hot, if you were able to get this same RAM from buy.com for $21.95 just one week ago.
Check out this thread.

Ram has really hit rock bottom. 128 megs of decent laptop memory is now less than $50 too. Incredible.

is the reason why this is going so low is because the rebate expired? lower MSRP? btw, i found this exact same chip at newegg.com for $44, so not really a pant-wetting deal, unless you use some coupons.

The buy.com deal before was very hot... stop comparing deals to other deals... there is a thing called time and it passes... u take what u can get at the current situation. 45 bucks for valueram is pretty decent if not even hot.

A buddy of mine just got his ValueRam sticks and they have Mitsubishi chips on them, which I have not heard mentioned in the (many) threads on this ram.

Can anyone identify chips with the following markings, or point me to the right place?

M2V64S30DTP
TAIWAN03899A24-6L

and

M2V64S30DTP
TAIWAN03999A4M-6L

My question is - does the "-6L" mean 6ns ram? As in PC-166 rated?

Cheers,
-Dave

Couldn't this be pricematched against Staples (they carry Kingston) to get even a better deal. Maybe something like this:

2 128mb sticks@$44.95 =$90
Something for $10

$100 - $30 coupon plus $5 for shipping=$75 for 2 sticks and something for $10

Buy.com charges like $5 for shipping two of these, and Staples says they take 3-5 days for shipment, so don't let them try to add overnight shipping charges. This should work, but I have plently of ram so somebody else needs to try it....:)

Knowing Kingston, Im pretty sure that they'll post another rebate soon enough. just wait if you dont want to spend $45 on ram right now.
