i can't tell if this is the 220 chipset (like the Asus mATX board for $70 at newegg) or a 420 with dual-channel DDR. the picture shows it with dual channel but the description is more ambiguous. still, not a bad deal considering i just bought an Asus nForce for $70. if this turns out to be a 220, then you saved $20. if this is dual channel, then you cleaned up!

for the record, it has builtin Geforce2 MX graphics but does still have an AGP port. dolby digital 6-channel sound (it has the -D southbridge) and supports up to 2100+ CPUs (with newest BIOS).

manual:

BIOS:

drivers (i believe you can used the nForce unified driver package)

Let us know which one it is.

According to a Google search it looks like NEC/Packard Bell used this MB in their NOVA series and, like you said, could either be CRUSH 11/Nforce 220 or CRUSH 12/Nforce 420. Here is an old MSI spec page. Either way this is a nForce1 chipset, right?

Also, since these are OEM pulls, let us know whether or not the OEM locked some proprietary BIOS into the boards? A friend once picked up an HP-rebranded Asus board and short of doing a BIOS swap, wouldn't let you flash with the Asus BIOS.

I didn't know Packard Bell was still in business. The last time I purchased a Packard Bell was in 1996, Pentium 120 with a whopping 8 MB of memory and a blistering 28.8 modem costing almost 2k.

Darn, I just got in on the P4 MB from PCliquidators and still scoping for a cheap P4 chip. If this was offered last week, I would have gotten in because of the cheaper Athlon processors.

From PC Liquidators description:

"Multiplex DVI / TV interface wiht the AGP slot."

Does that mean TV out?

Thanks.

This is a dual channel board. There is an older version which is 1.1. Your guess is what you'll get. Only PC Liquidator has checkered reputation and I would not buy this from them.
Newegg ordinarily sells monster Chaintech refurbish NForce2 boards for $49, while occassionally you can get MSI NForce2 with integrated graphics for $59. They are both usually with all the accessories. Chaintech is top notch (probably better than bare Asus, and comes with round cables, back plate, and all around one monster performer) while MSI K7N2G is also one fine board though it is not able to go above 185 FSB.
I don't think there is any used ("refurbished") uATX (micro ATX) board that is worth $50, unless Intel 865 and 875 based.

And the price is here $49.99 (~$50) not $49.

"Multiplex DVI / TV interface wiht the AGP slot"

For that you need an extra adapter. I bet my bottom dollar that these guys won't send you any. As a matter of fact the complain is that they don't even pack the board in antistatic package. Good luck.

So what are experiences with this board? If it's new and more importantly, as advertised, then it seems like a good deal.

yeah, I would love to hear back from some of you guys. I'm considering getting this over the $70 A7N-266VM @ newegg.
