Hot!! MS Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard

I'm a newbie at posting these hotdeals so be kind. I think this an extremely hot deal
.
Bestbuy current ad this week 1/21/2007 has the MS Natural Ergonomic Keyboard for $29.99 ($59.99 - $30 instant savings). Already a good deal.

BestBuy

Microsoft has a rebate of $20 if purchased between 12/29/2006 thru 03/31/2007. The Rebate does not apply to in-store or online purchases at the following stores.
Costco
Sam's Club
Target
WalMart
BestBuy
Office Max

Microsoft

I was able to pricematch the $29.99 at Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha. The microsoft rebate qualifies at this store. After the $20.00 rebate, $9.99 plus tax and some postage for the rebate.

I suppose there may be other retailers that will pricematch and qualify for the rebate. Perhaps Office Depot or Staples or Circuit City?

EDIT:
CompUSA currently has a $25 Rebate running from 1/21/2007 to 1/27/2007. If you can Pricematch Bestbuy, you may be able to get it for $4.99 plus tax and postage for the rebate.

CompUSA

wow, excellent deal if you can get it to work. i'd love to get this keyboard with a nice optical/laser mouse, i'll have to look around for stores where i could take advantage of this.

EDIT: compusa has this keyboard with a $25 rebate... if you can get them to price match BB's price and use the rebate, you'd get it for less than $5...

Darn, I paid $30 AR for this keyboard a few months ago at Frys. I really like the keyboard - though it did take some getting used to. Maybe I'll get a spare....

** Also try Circuit City and CompUSA for PM - both have come through for me in the past.

well for that much ingenuity I say you the man ... I am typing on one right now must have paid way more like 50s when I got it but it's a gem.

Earlier today I did a PM at Office Depot (rebate should be valid there). Although the PM at CompUSA would be the best deal, it also required the most driving for me. Office Depot is right next to where I work 🙂

I paid 50 for mine as well... it definitely saves your wrists.

I still cringe at the thought of people using the tabs on the back of a normal keyboard to raise it even more.

it actually dates back to the days of typewriters.. your wrists do not rest -- they are locked straight, neither moves nor tilts the hands. you punch with your fingers and adjust height with your elbows.

made me laugh though. the picture you have in your head that makes you cringe is of someone resting their wrists.. while typing on a keyboard with raised tabs 🙂 not pretty

*** DEAD *** Lasted most over the morning but dead now.

Just a quick follow-up for anyone who want to get this at a good price with minimal hassles:

$15.50 AR @ Amazon

Free shipping with $25 or Prime.

It's still got a rebate (from MS, which is good) but if you don't happen to live in the right spot for retail, this is a good deal.

*** DEAD ***

yea, i know you're not supposed to rest your wrists, but a majority of people do it anyway.

Omaha in the HOUSE!

OP - you ever eat at B&Gs right of Dodge in the 70s? I got tons of family out there. I miss it so...

How would I get it for $15.50 AR?

Worked for me at my local Staples!

$64.99 (Staples in-store price)
- $38.50 (Staples 110% PM)
=$26.49 (+tax)
- $20.00 (assuming all goes well with the MIR)
= $6.49 (+tax)

Thanks OP!

wow, nice to hear. did you have a copy of the local BB ad with you or a printout of the online ad?

Have one at work and one at home. I paid more than $10, though. The only keyboards I like better are way too loud to use at work. Good deal.

I'm taking the print out of the website. Hopefully that'll do the trick (gotta get outta work before 9 though - unlikely...)

bought 3 for family, back in the day. about $40 each, ouch. great deal. rarely use it now as i prefer wireless. not sure why they never came out with a wireless version.
