Is the whole package a Maxtor product or is this a Maxtor drive that eTech has put in an external enclosure? Anyone know if Ghost recognizes this or what bridge is used?

It's probably the second. Look at the warranty. It's not even covered by Maxtor. They probably just threw it in a cheap enclosure and they are giving it a 1 year warranty themselves.
