The staples rebate, the second one, states that they will not accept any reproductions of the UPC code.
I wonder if we can use that one ?

yep, I bought that combo a couple of days ago... seems like a safer bet since there are two totally different rebates.

I don't see the $70 AR according to your math.
130 + 90 = 220
220-50-30-30 = 110
Am I missing something?????
 
To get to the price mentioned above you have to subtract $40 for a rebate on the cd drive. A note of caution. Both of the rebates on the hard drive are exactly the same and if you submit both of them one will get rejected.
 
You're right. The title needs to be edited to reflect it's 100 AR and not 70 AR. It will not be possible to get both HD rebates, since both require original UPCs.
 
You're right... Didn't realize both hard drive rebates were the same. Kinda odd that they'd look so different. I ripped the rebate info from fat wallet. - they aren't as observant as you guys.

The two rebates ARE NOT THE SAME. The staples one goes to department 02-49300. The Maxtor goes to department 02-49446. I read of these deal over at FW. Theres a massive thread. One of the members spoke with a staples CSR and he said that the rebates are not the same. Also, in most cases staples will accept a copy of the UPC if there is also a manufacturer rebate for the product.

When there are multiple rebates available for the same product, many times the store rebate will accept a copy of the purchase and product information. For the specific rules of the promotions, you should refer to the promotion details on the rebate form or website.

There is a rebate for the verbatims. 40 off

That makes it 60+tax for both products. I did the 32x and hd and it came out to be 50+tax. I will try to ask for the outpost pm on the 32x, if that does not work, I will exchange for the verbatims. I think the 40x can be upgraded to 48x! 10 more for 16x differences is worth it.
