Got extra SD cards laying around?

I'm pretty stoked about this player! I just hope the audio quality is up to par!

Yeah, seems like a great deal for a jogging/gym/etc. player. You can grab that and a 1gig card for bout $100 total.

*Edit* Just noticed its pre-order. Couldn't find any info about it on Lexar's web site yet.

If you want a good deal on a 1gig CF - check newegg right now for the Kingmax 60X 1 Gig. $70 shipped after rebate - Item N82E16820155266
Here: 1 Gig CF @ Newegg

i have a different lexar media player (the one that uses a thumbdrive) and it's fine, but my main complaint is that when you're playing songs at random, it tends to repeat itself well before any large number of songs has been covered.

Concept wise, this is a terrific product - hopefully this one will also be high quality. This has to be the wave of the future.
An MP3 flash memory player is just unbeatable. So small and light - much better than a HD based player.
These SD card players are perfect. If the player dies, you still have the memory cards. And the memory keeps getting cheaper.
Thanks OP.

Interesting. Wish they gave dimensions of the mp3 player. It likes like it's 2.5x3inches, not sure about how thick it is.

Probably a generic response.

I want one of these too. It's been 3 weeks and nothing has changed.

To those in the know: is there even an estimate when this might become available?

Any hint of when it will ship?

I bought a Lexar 1Gb SD for $38 AR at Fry's last Oct...the wifey kinda moaned that I didn't need it. Haven't seen that deal since.

Chiefvalue has a 512SD for $24.99AR...decent I guess

Yeah, but can it bookmark (or resume) properly for book listening? I've got 512MB of Sd sitting in my desk drawer that would be a perfect fit...but if it won't play books, it doesn't do me any good.

I emailed J&R about this. Heres the response...

Thank you for your letter. That is a new product, and our buyers have informed us they cannot get a solid date of arrival on new products like that. We have a pending shipment and hope it will arrive soon. They were hoped for arrival at the end of February so it could be soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for shopping with us at http://www.jr.com

Wow. Nice :)

Too bad it's not available yet. Are there many other SD/CF card players besides this?

isn't this the same thing for less and it is already available?

I may just buy that.. It looks to be not much longer than a AAA battery.. It just seems sketchy that there's so little info available on it.

I want the lexar, and have been waiting patiently.. but this is becoming rather annoying. They need to either give a real date or release it already, it was supposed to be released in Feb.
