I looked, I didn't see anyone post this combination of rebates for get this for a HOT price:

First, go to $10 of $50 Purchase. You'll find information on getting $10 off $50 purchase from BrandsForLess. Go through BrandsForLess link to Computers4Sure. Search for Lexar's 48MB Compact Flash (product S1093399) with JumpShot, price is $78. Lexar has $40 rebate, less $10 BrandForLess Rebate and BrandsForLess also will rebate shipping.

Breaks down like this:

$77.99 - Compact Flash
5.50 - Shipping
------
$83.49 Total Upfront Cost

Less:
$10.00 - BrandsForLess Rebate
$ 5.50 - BrandsForLess Shipping Rebate
$40.00 - Lexar Rebate
------
$55.50 Total Rebates

Net Cost: $83.49 - $55.50 = $27.99!

If anyone can beat this, let me know as I'm looking to purchase one or two more ;)

Revised: Looks like they pulled the free shipping offer for Computers4Sure. It was there when I ordered mine a week ago. They no longer list this store on their shipping rebate page - guess maybe they reached their quota. Oh well, still a good deal on this.

Is this the same deal that was around a few weeks ago (you know, the one where they ship you the merchandise that does NOT have the UPC code on it, thus making the rebate impossible to get:))

j00 ...

As I understand it, the JumpShot cable plugs directly into Lexar's CF chip and works **only** with Lexar's CF chips -- **not** with CF chips from other mfgs. So if you have non-Lexar CF chips, you may still need your reader. I also believe (could be wrong here) that your reader should be able to handle Lexar's chips.

Bob61 ...

(Do you go by TheDude on Fatwallet? I just posted the following reply to an almost-identical post on Fatwallet.)

Good find. Thanks for posting it.

Just one small wrinkle -- Brandsforless will **not** reimburse s/h for purchases at Computers4Sure. Here's their statement: "Purchases made at Computers4Sure & KB Kids do not apply to this promotion." To verify, go here:

http://service.crossdomain.com/rebate/offer.asp?r=40

Perhaps you could edit your message/title to eliminate the "free s/h."

Thanks again.

"Q: Are JumpShot cables compatible with all CompactFlash cards?
A: Jumpshot cables will operate with only USB-Enabled CompactFlash cards?"

jumpshot is for the CF+ standard, has a USB reader chip built in. I think only lexar makes those so far though. I have all lexar cards, they seem to be cheap so i just use jumpshots. My 8mb canon CF doesnt work, but i havent even opened that, why would i with a 48mb CF and a 16mb

No, the 8MB Nikon module that comes with the Nikon 950/800/990/880 do not work with Lexar USB.

i have a nikon cp800, with the 8mb module, and i also bought a 32mb lexar module with the jumpshot cable, both cards work fine with it.

Looks like they pulled that rebate, must have reached their quota. It was there last week when I ordered mine ;)

redly1:
This is not the same as the OverStock deal where you were buying some refurbished, returns, who knows. This is new in retail box. The rebate form actually comes inside the package (no need to print it from the vendors website).

hans007:
How is paying $45 better than $33? I've never lost a rebate yet. In my case, it was $28 versus paying $45. That's a $17 saving!

someone said this wasn't the boxed one at some point, thats what i was saying. I bought it at overstock since well, i thought it was in the box there as well, it would have been $5 shipped. But if computers4sure has the non boxed, then $45 shipped at overstock is better .

hans007:

Well, I've already received mine and can confirm it's full retail box. Also, the Computer4Sure product page shows this with the rebate. Overstock carries a lot of crap, don't like dealing with them. Computers4Sure has always been on the up and up with quality product and service.
