I did this yesterday. Very easy, after a little back and forth with the CSR.

I tried to price match with Staples and the guy told me that they have stopped PM with online stores and also showed me a Memo.

Besides how did you reduce the price to $6.00 from Tigerdirect it says 34.99 after rebates on their website?

Did you try Staples B&M or the 1-800-STAPLES number? B&M DOES NOT PM online anymore and very rarely did for me anyways. Beside, I don't think B&M's have this item. Anyways, call the 1-800 number and tell them you want to buy item number XXXXXX and PM to buy.com's AFTER REBATE price of $xx.yy. If you have to, tell them that the rebate is buy.com only and Staples does not offer an MIR on this product.

This is the way it works...

1. Call Staples and PM to buy.com.
2. Send in rebate from Tigerdirect. (Staples is a participating retailer.)
3. Enjoy the deal.

Tried - CSR didn't yield for PMing with MIR to buy.com

Tried again, was told buy.com ships in abt 14 days while staples does it in 3-4 days. So buy.com's shipping charge of $7.27 to ship in 3-4 days will be included in the price. Final staples price - 29.66.

(25.47 + 7.27 ship) 32.74

110% diff
(30.75 x 110%) 33.83

Final (63.49 - 33.83) 29.66

If I get the $15 tigerdirect MIR, it'll be $14.66.

Nice deal. I did it and they charged me $7.27 for shipping too.

So net price is around $17.32 with tax and rebate. So not a bad deal for 128mb portable harddrive

Did the PM yesterday, I guess they had it on record so it went through quickly, $7.95 shipping added (Personally, I think it's fair because the order is under $50 , so I would've to pay for shipping to Staples anyways).

$32 after tax, if I can get the $15 rebate , then it will be $17 out the door, I think that's pretty good for me. However, I heard from another forum that you can apply a $5 coupon and if they don't charge you shipping, it will be FAR.

You'll get nailed for $5-$6 shipping. We order things from Staples every day for the office and they always tack on shipping after quoting the price.

You were right Fritzo, staples pm and then added $6 for next day shipping. Total of $30.67 - $15 rebate = $15.67 That's still very nice.

Although the scheduled delivery by Staples courier shows a delivery date of 5/28. I guess I would have to call back about the $6 next day shipping charge.
