Nice Camera. $340 without dock thought no dock would bring the price down more. Zoom on this is nice and the 2.5" LCD.

I bought one of this from geek last week. the camera is awesome. i recommend it. picture quality is good and I love the 10x opt zoom. It comes with 1 year warranty(just like the new one). I called Kodak about the warranty, they told me I just need to re-register the camera and dock. The dock is convenience to charge the camera and upload pictures to my computer. For those who complaint about it's refurbished. you can find one brand new without the dock at dell for $399 - auto 10% off - $20 off coupon = $339.10. I am not sure how much the dock cost, probably another 60~70 dollars? The bundle cost at least $400.

I didn't care for the dock. It's not as convenient when you're travelling to have to bring a dock just to recharge the battery. The AC adapter for the dock can power the camera directly, but doesn't charge the battery (as stated in the manual).

Does the DX6490 being sold without a dock come with a different AC adapter?

The one without the dock doesn't come with an AC adaptor.

This camera was normally $499. When they took out the $80 dock they dropped the price to $399. I picked one up last weekend at BB with the 10% off coupon so got it for $360. No need for an AC adaptor or the dock. Cheaper to just pick up an extra battery so while one is charging you can use the camera with the other.

It comes with some audio/video output cables, the USB cable, and the battery charger that just plugs directly into the wall. It does come with the dock insert so if you have a dock for a different camera in the same series, you can put this one on it.
