Great camera, I have one. It's rugadized and takes abuse. I use mine for taking pictures while snowboarding. Of course I paid $700 when they first came out over a year ago.

You can get this on eBay for Kodak.auctions for about $216 (refurbished)....other sellers have them for near the same price (new).....FYI

Kodak is selling them direct on fleabay for $216 + shipping. They've got a couple of auctions going, the one I looked at had quantity 25 available and no bidders with 20 hours (out of 3 days) to go.

I am confused by KODAK product serials. As I know DC4800 is a 3 Mp digital camera and was very popular some time ago. This one has a higher serial number but only has 2Mp. Any one here can explain this? Thanks in advance!

I picked this camera up for $250 shipped last August when CompUSA was running a deal on it. Ended up selling it because I wanted something better than 2.0 Mpixel and 2x optical zoom. This camera is a tank (waterproof, shock protection due to thick rubber all over it) and if you can deal with the size and low-end capabilities it's worth checking out, but I certainly wouldn't pay $278+shipping for it.
