A couple of rebates to make this a hot deal, but should be worth the effort.

Got to YellowBrix first. Then use link to Computers for Sure. YellowBrix offers $10 rebate on purchase of $25 or more.

Then make purchase of Kingston 128MB memory module from Computer For Sure, search for part S1101973. Price is $89.99 with $15 from Kingston. Shipping is only $5.00.

Then go back to YellowBrix and apply for your $10 rebate, follow link at top of their page.

Here's the summary:

$84.99 - Kingston Memory
5.00 - Shipping
- 15.00 - Kingston Rebate
- 10.00 - YellowBrix Rebate
-------
$64.99
======

Computer For Sure is showing this as "in stock" with 982 units. Should be plenty to go around. Enjoy. :D

I've submitted many ECS rebates through various sites (BrandForLess, CyberShop, etc.) and never had a problem.

As long as the $10 link is shown on the YellowBrix main page, they have not reached their quota. As soon as they reach their quota, they remove the link.

Here is an alternative to these "HOT" deals:
Instead of going through the rebate hassles (one needs the submission of UPC code etc) and waiting for two checks from different entities, why don't you do this:

1. pm computers4sure.com (or Solutions4SURE.com) with Staples (SKU# IM1033442 for those who don't know).
2. Mention the 5$ shipping fee in case they want to add any fee for that (my CSR did not!).
3. Then use one of the usual (and instant!!) 25 off 75 coupons.

You would end up paying 60$ (+tax) and have the part delivered in (normally) two days.

Even if they really want to charge you 5$ for shipping, you still pay less (less for tax (60$ instead of 85$) and no postage).

I just called Staples and made sure this works. Gave them the website and item# etc etc.

Maybe some would even start another thread for this , but I personally don't consider even this a "HOT" deal at all.

The deal with officemax some month ago, THAT was hot.
And the RAM prices are dropping sharply too.
Anyhow, good luck for those who need RAM right now.

Nope, not a hot deal for get 128MB of name brand RAM for $65. Everyone's been barking about buying 128MB from AccessMicro for $60 plus $9.95 and that memory sucks! Plus the vendor sucks too!

If you can PM with Staples, go for it. $65 delivered for 128MB is indeed still a hot deal -- just check out Onvia and others who are selling this same memory for $120+.

But then I guess Attention just wants to be sure he gets attention around here - sigh....

Dear Bob61,
At that time the RAM prices were much higher than today, so it was really a hot deal then!
Many of us did buy that RAM in fact, as you might have seen from the countless replies on that good thread.

And regarding your other kindness, if I wanted to have attention in your terms, I would have started yet another useless thread as I mentioned here.

I wished you guys could get your "ultra giga senior member" status right away and post only if you have a real "HOT" deal.

But anyhow, let's focus on the real issue and post some good deals.

It should be mentioned that this is PC100, not PC133.

I only mention this because I am looking for PC133 and thought for a second I had a good deal. :)
