I used to use PopUpStopper, but then found PopUp Manager from endpopups.com after a recommendation from Woody's WinXP Watch newsletter. I like it better than PopUpStopper. With PopUp Manager if you click on a link on a page that is supposed to pop up a new window, the manager assumes you want the new window to pop up and let's it...no more holding down the CTRL key to make a new window appear.

That is not good news. Sounds like the author stopped just because he was upset with some people. But doesn't really say any facts about what the problem was.
