I like the D-ILA sets pretty well - they're very bright and have a nice image IMO. With a screen this large I'd rather have 1080p, but for the money this is a lot of TV IMO.

I read through a few more reviews and it doesn't look promising for this tv. Quotes like "handles HD content ok" and "looks like a failed experiment rather then a finished product"

I would love to get big screen this cheap even if it's not 1080p but the fact the reviews are not promising, I'm staying away from this one.
