I like instant copy,.

Im new to the dvd thing and i find it very intuitive and I like the fact that it has all functionality in the demo so ya can try for a while before you buy 🙂

The Rebate is not store specific so you can purchase it from any store/website.

I purchased it from Amazon ($39.99 - $5 coupon - $20 rebate = $14.99), but now when I check I see the only version offered is through J&R. At the time I placed my order, it was offered directly from Amazon. Buy.com has it for $36.99, but they add almost $8 in shipping and handling.

Instantcopy works fine for me too. Just finished backing up my Band of Brothers disc set which DVDXcopy couldn't copy. I am pretty amazed how you can fit a dvd9 to one regular 4.7 dvd-r disc and quality is pretty darn good .

Instant copy works great for me too. I backup the first 2 seasons of the Sopranos with all menu's. As for regular movies, I like DVD2ONE better.

What the heck! I have no experience with any of them and I have yet to use my DVD-RW drive. I ordered mine.

hehehe, same here. i have been waiting for that damn J and R to ship my copy of instantcopy. in the meantime, all i have been able to do is backup MP3s to DVD media. for that it works great! i would like to backup a movie though one of these days. J and R, what a joke. i will take fry's over that two-bit operation in new jersey any day.

Did you use DVDDecrytper or SmartRipper to copy the DVD to your hard drive?

Didn't listen to me I see. 😉

I can't get IC to give me problems...I must be doing something wrong cuz I've tried "Unfaithful" which was said to be a problematic title but had no trouble. Guess I just don't know how to screw up my pc and hose it up good like some others. DVD2one is good for flicks less than 6GB but when you start going above that you'll get horrible macroblocks...thus that's where IC steps in. Just unselect everything except menu and main movie and have at it. Choose which subs and audio you wish keep and be done with it. DVD2ONE rulez for speed no arguement there it just suffers from movies that are long say over 2 and half hours in length. Erwin suppose is tweaking the engine to compensate for that. If he manages to pull it off then hands down dvd2one is the winner in my book. I'll use IC7 for when quality is an issue though and also for multi-episode dvds, etc.

I guess I need to try it again. The First one I tried was Conan The Barbarian and It only made it a little way into it and it game me an error (can't remember exactally what the error said). After reading around on some other forums that error was pretty common.

DOH!!!! 🙂

after using DVDdecripter , everything works fine now 😀

alot easyer if you read how to use the damm thing 😉 😛

I'll probably get DVD x copy for movies that i would like to keep at best quality (dvd9-dvd5 loses too much quality IMHO) would rather have to use 2 DVD blanks with perfect quality for those great movies, than use 1 dvd blank with 'ok' quality.

but for most of my dvds around 5 gigs this is great 🙂
