There is another thread in this forum by LeeM in which he points out that you can pricematch between BB and OD and get these Imation 50packs for $14.99 plus tax, and then get a $15.00 rebate. I did that today and got 100 of the 12x CD-rs for a total outlay -- after the two MIRs -- of $1.62.

Pick up the flyer in the BB store. The Imation ad is about three pages from the back page and will say $9.99 -- but that is the walk out price of $14.99 less a $5.00 MIR. Take the flyer to OD and they will price match it to the $14.99 price. Be sure to get the OD/Imation $15.00 rebate coupon which OD hands out at the cash register. You will end up paying tax -- less one cent -- for 50 12x 80 minute CD-R's. This is LeeM's deal -- I am just repeating it since it is apropos this thread.

You are right, Imation is even worse than PNY -- if that is possible -- in honoring rebates. Over the years I would judge that I have failed to collect on about one in three Imation rebates. And that was after calling, resubmitting, getting the merchant involved etc. I only buy Imation products when the item would be free if I get the rebate, so that on average the price is still a hot deal.

Well the price is awesome, but are the cd's good quality and worth it? cause i bought a pack last year i don't remember the brand but like 5 of the 50 cd's were currupt and couldn't write data...
